Volumes placed under the roofs, attics are often used as granaries and are often poorly exploited. They do, however, have a lot of design possibilities to create storage spaces, real rooms and why not a space for children for places that do not allow to stand.
There are three categories of attic, habitable, lost, or unusable. For the latter, few possibilities except the storage of suitcases or use as an attic. For others, you can create storage spaces or even real pieces.
The first thing to do if you want to build your attic is the insulation by focusing on the roof so that it does not get too hot in the summer and not too cold in the winter. You can then bring electricity, heating and possibly wiring for the reception of the internet. You may already imagine what will become of your attic?
You will have some work to do to achieve the walls and ceiling using BA13, a few finishes and a stroke of paint, not to mention the floors.
Use the slopes to create storage (custom cupboards, bookcases, dressers, desks) and exploit the rest of the space by arranging a living room, a room, a video or music place for example.
