Makeover of a faded kitchen for a more modern style. Small jobs to transform a kitchen at a lower cost and give it a new life. It’s this way !
Damaged kitchen, faded colors, peeled wallpaper and more furniture really up to date! The challenge: renovate the kitchen without replacing the furniture and give it a more modern style. The colors chosen are cast gray and white.
Peel off the wallpaper and prime the walls to paint them later. The latter were covered with smoothing plaster and then sanded. An underlay was applied, then two layers of special white kitchen paint. The ceiling has also been repainted.
The joints of the tiles, originally dark, were scraped then redone in white.
The melamine cupboards were disassembled, cleaned perfectly and lightly sanded to encourage the paint to hang. A tiling underlayer was applied before applying a cast iron gray decorative coating. Finally, two layers of vitrifier were passed for the holding of the coatings. The edges of the interior cupboards have also been treated in the same way.
A ladder was made of wood and then painted in gray cast iron for decoration. It serves as a catch for decorative objects and sticky notes and was placed behind the dining table.
