The kitchen is a place of life in which one spends time, it has clearly become a multi-use space. Indeed, we like to chat around the morning coffee, taste good meals with family or friends, do the homework of the children, revisit the granny’s cake … hence the importance that this room looks like us!
Nowadays, there are as many recipes as there are different styles of cuisine: modern, natural, country, rustic, Provencal … we can even mix the models!
We love the style of modern kitchen for its clean lines, often open to the living room with a central island in marble, in order to benefit everyone. The decoration is minimalist thanks to its Scandinavian furniture, its light wood, its white tiles and its dim light integrated into the ceiling. And nothing is left to chance, the cookbooks and dishes displayed on the shelves match the pastel pink touch of one of the walls.
LE STYLE NATURE
As its name suggests, it is a real haven of peace, we favor for that , the raw material: wood, slate, stone, seagrass … We can imagine very well the island in raw wood, with its rattan bar stools as well as clear floor tiles. The colors are essentially soothing: light or dark green, white, cream, sand, slate gray … here, we use and abuse indoor green plants, on the ground or hanging from the ceiling!
THE CAMPAIGN AND RUSTIC STYLE
Between tradition and modernity, the rustic and country style, is making a comeback in 2020. We like the cozy and reassuring, voluminous and retro side of this style. Its layout is contrasted: cast iron stove, two-tone tiles, vintage furniture (the famous orange fridge), excessive hood, rattan baskets …
We are clearly in the countryside: the stone on the wall is often visible, we there is a solid wood island decorated with copper pots, cowhide seats on white or gray tiles. For small budgets, flea markets are ideal to find adequate decoration.
THE PROVENÇAL STYLE
Here, we dive into the heart of a Mediterranean and family atmosphere. You will find warm colors such as white, blue, yellow and green. But also key elements such as sunflower, lavender, cicada and olive tree. And why not make a splashback with sunflower patterns, matching the dried bouquet of the dining table? We can already imagine the latter, surrounded by wooden benches on each side with colored cushions, on terracotta tiling.
You will therefore understand, give free rein to your imagination. Cooking is a reflection of your lifestyle: “show me your cooking and I will tell you who you are!” ” Some prefer to seek the advice of an architect and benefit from a tailor-made kitchen. Others of an integrated kitchen, to reduce the budget. But whatever your allocated amount, all styles are possible and above all have fun doing it!
